Stewart was completely understanding and nothing was too much trouble. He is gentle, trustworthy and kind and it is so obvious that dogs really respond to him. It was for these reasons that we asked him to look after Charlie, as we hadn’t left him before and it had to be the right person. Charlie has separation issues so Stewart came a few times to gain his trust and when we left them together, despite our worries, Charlie was fine! Stewart had a very professional approach to his care for Gus from the off. He visited our house, met Gus, took all the details required for his care - feeding regime, favourite toys etc - and was very clear from the outset what his time with Gus would look like.

Throughout our holiday, Stewart kept in daily contact with pictures and videos of Gus. He asked any questions that he may not have covered in the visit, but these were few and far between. We've had Gus with three different dog carers over the last year - Stewart's communication was by far the best we have experienced, and it made for a very relaxing holiday. We knew Gus was in good hands.

Stewart made a point of walking Gus with other dogs. He hasn't had a lot of socialisation and we thought he really benefited from it. Since our return, he has been calmer around other dogs and there is a difference in his approach.

On our return, Gus was in great shape. In one of our previous experiences, Gus had come back noticeably thinner and with an eye infection. He was our healthy, happy dog when we picked him up from Stewart.

We couldn't recommend Steward highly enough. Cost wise you got everything you paid for (beware cheap options) and it was extremely reasonable. Stewart's knowledge, care and love of dogs shone through - we will definitely be using him again.
